Modern buildings are strong contrast to old part of the town. Black impersonal glasses of big creatures reflects the sky and clouds down and you get a feeling that no living soul can be found in these monuments. Exactly, in that time the buildings were really almost empty. In february in Argentina is the time for vacations and Sun's building looked whatever other as anthill.
Small reservoirs ar river bank misleads a newcomer.
When you think you are near Rio de la Plata beach yet, you have still to walk over two miles to really reach the river bank. If you want to go on your feet to that walk, think about if you are good fitted out for so long trip.
When you walk over 9. July street you gain an impression that this is the main street in Buenos Aires. You are wrong, you will hardly find it in the street map. Big obelisk on the middle of the road can be your guide while you are walking around without worries to be lost.
Argentina was before financial crash in year 2001 one of the richest south american states. Argentinean tourists were going on holidays in at that time cheaper Brazil or even on Florida. Although on the edges of town it starts to show poverty, down at the Rio de la Plata plane they are building new business skyscrapers like this big Microsoft house.
The life in Argentina will be for Slovenians more as twice cheaper as in Slovenia.
Around big business structures the traffic dies away. Most of people shows up in center of the town at evening hours.
Passing by Sun's business building near railway station you come to navigable reservoirs Dique 1 to Dique 4. Behind these ones the national park Reserva Natural Costanera Sur is spreading out on few miles by Rio de la Plata bank. The rare walkers are coming there to find the nature and piece. This part of town is worth to visit but you have to sacrifice almost a day to have a rich visit. I was surprised by finding only three or four walkers of almost fourteen millions of citizens that day in the park.
