From far away the vegetation doesn't look something special, only on rare points a clump of bananas or palms appears. To attended observer details doesn't escape. The park is a home for hundreds species of plants and animals and first you will catch will be beautiful colorful birds.
Late summer gave the flowering power only to few plants. Most of vegetation has already finished with blooming and they looked little colorless. The walk thru grass and rush told how tall they really are. They hide me under after first steps on tight footpath between bunches of grass.
Lake Laguna de los Patos ended at he entrance of the park to muddy pool that gives a home to many birds. A very short turn of camera to right shows that there is still happening the big town which fully cohabitate with this, only half of mile distant, pure nature.
On south of port is a big part of embankment of Rio de la Plata clipped off town with long reservoir Laguna de los Patos. The place is called National park Costanera Sur. The park is closed for traffic and is a beautiful place for rest and relaxation. In time of our visit we met there only few cyclists and walkers. From south part of Park, at entrance by Dique 4 the high buildings of town jut out between low houses, but when you go deeper to the beach, they hide in rich greenery of park.
The entry is free of fee, though some kind of guards were in small wooden houses at the entrance. Nobody didn't even ask us where we go.
Park is incredible contrary of the town. The paths are settled,
the fences are fasten and on interesting sites the wooden footbridges are set to view points from where the town skirt is visible.
